How 5 Pahadi Roots Came to Be

5 Pahadi Roots started with a simple frustration — good food existed, but finding it was too hard. The real stuff was buried in the mountains, made by farmers who had no way to reach anyone beyond their hillside.

Sudhir Chambail had been making sourcing trips into the mountains for years — not looking for a business idea, just looking for good food. What he kept finding were farmers with extraordinary products and no platform to sell them honestly.

"These farmers weren't selling a product. They were sharing a practice — one that had no room for shortcuts."

So he built one. No middlemen. No inflated claims. Just a direct line between the people who grow it and the people who eat it.
